On the 18th of March 2025, the UK Government announced a grant to offset the increased cost of National Insurance contributions (NICs: National Insurance contributions grant).

The DfE has provided a tool to calculate the grant’s impact, but it only works at the individual school level and focuses solely on the April 2025 – March 2026 allocation. However, Academy funding has been confirmed to cover an additional five months (April 2026 – August 2026).
