ICFP
Trust-led integrated curriculum financial planning
Maximise educational success by ensuring the effective deployment of resources across your trust. Use IMP to help design the best curriculum that you can afford.
Aligned data-driven conversations between financial and curriculum leadership
All stakeholders involved in the planning process will have real-time visibility of the reconciliation between the curriculum and financial plan. This holistic view will ensure that processes are coordinated, and differences are identified quickly.
Integrated staffing model
Drive both budgets and curriculum planning through the same staffing dataset removing the need to manually populate data.
Eliminate out-of-date information and the constant updating and reupdating of standalone curriculum plans.
Multi-year ICFP planning
We are experts at creating multi-year plans, so for the first time ICFP planning can be considered over the medium term.
This will give early indication for problems or opportunities on the horizon, whilst removing the requirement to manually roll-forward spreadsheets or systems.
MAT-first design
We only build systems for MATs, so we understand the issues with school-focused solutions. When managing ICFP across multiple schools, you may find different timetable definitions and subject coding. IMP use clever standardisation techniques to flatten these differences to enable trust level comparison.
Frequently asked questions
Is information shown in real-time?
Yes – IMP ICFP staffing information should always be up to date. This means that curriculum and finance leads can be confident that they are using the most recent staffing profile when allocating curriculum resource and planning budgets.
Can I view and compare ICFP metrics across the entire MAT?
Yes. Our ICFP reporting suite provides powerful and insightful measures that can be analysed and compared across the whole trust, even when subjects and/or timetable definitions vary by school. To do this, it uses standardised metrics and groups schools with similar characteristics.
What types of school can use ICFP?
Any and all of them! IMP ICFP is flexible enough to accommodate all school types – including secondary, primary, nursery, special, alternative provision, all-through and middle schools. If you have specific requirements, just ask us how we can help.
How is non-contact time analysed?
With the ability to allocate staff to an unlimited number of non-contact activities, we’ve got rid of the vague old approach to understanding the use of this time. With IMP ICFP, you can quickly understand the cost of each non-contact activity and how this is split between leadership, teaching, and non-teaching staff.
What type of benchmarking is available?
All standardised KPIs are RAG rated using a unique system determined by each trust. KPI ranges can be set for different school types and you have a choice of external benchmarking data or your own targets to define what ‘good’ and ‘bad’ look like.
Can I include external contractors in our curriculum plans?
Absolutely! We recognise that off-payroll staff can and probably will deliver part of the curriculum. Curriculum requirements can be allocated against external contractors (e.g. a sports coaches or peripatetic music teachers ). Their costs will then be included in reporting and benchmarking analysis – giving you a truer picture of what’s going on in your schools.
