Growing market share, sector-leading insights, key appointments, independent endorsement and recognition have made 2024 another year to remember for IMP Software, market-leading specialists in budgeting, forecasting and reporting software for Multi-Academy Trusts (MATs).

The UK-wide company, with locations in Exeter and Peterborough, celebrated its fifth anniversary this year and ended 2024 working with over 500 MATs and more than 5,000 schools.

This growth is supported by a 90-strong team, including new additions Morgan Davies (Head of Engineering), Nadine ter Meulen (Head of Marketing), Alexis Noble (Head of People), Michael Page (Head of Product) and Rosie Holder (MAT Product Specialist). Meanwhile, Warren Porter has been promoted to Head of Education Strategy, and Mat Truche-Gordon has joined the board as Chair of IMP Software.

In the last month alone, IMP Software launched its MAT Finance Sector Insight Report 2024, which saw it feature at a range of national education events including the Confederation of School Trusts (CST) Annual Conference, Schools & Academies Show, Institute of School Business Leadership (ISBL) National Conference and MAT Partnership Networks (MATPN), and has boosted its 5-start Trustpilot reviews, whilst also achieving a 4.8 Glassdoor rating.

“As the market leader in MAT financial management software, IMP Software is uniquely positioned to support smarter MAT finance through innovative tools and actionable insights that enable informed decision-making,” said Will Jordan, Co-Founder of IMP Software.

“With 500 trusts – encompassing over 5,000 schools – using our software, we understand the weight of this responsibility and are deeply committed to helping our customers achieve financial excellence. We are immensely grateful to all our customers for their trust and collaboration again this year. Their dedication to improving financial management within their organisations inspires us to continually raise the bar.

“Together, we can drive the sector forward, ensuring that every trust (regardless of size) has the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the complexities of MAT finance with confidence.”

Will added that further growth was on the horizon, with the launch of new products to complement IMP Planner, a unified tool for better MAT budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and IMP ICFP, which helps MATs maximise educational success by ensuring the effective deployment of staffing and resources across their trust.

Meanwhile, IMP Software has earned Great Place to Work Certification for the second year in a row. Great Place To Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and leadership practices that drive employee retention, innovation and success.

“When we launched in 2019, our vision was simple: to provide MATs with smarter, more efficient financial tools,” Will said. “Fast forward to today, and we are extremely proud to see our software supporting over 5,000 schools, promoting budget-led accounting and helping them to eliminate the ‘faff’ from MAT finance. Our success this year, and in future, is built on the foundations of developing a first-class team of MAT finance legends who give it their all. Our Great Place to Work Certification is all part of the bargain to ensure that we are a fantastic place to work, both to support our current legends and attract legends in the future.

“Thank you to every member of our amazing team for making IMP Software a supportive and empowering community where people thrive.”
