IMP Software, which supports smarter finance in multi-academy trusts with MAT-first solutions for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, ICFP and purchasing, has partnered with ISBL to support trusts in reviewing Integrated Curriculum Financial Planning performance with greater clarity.
This collaboration brings Advanced Strategic Optimisation Tool (ASOT) data – designed to help school business professionals and/or school leaders in individual schools to calculate and interpret the use of the essential ICFP metrics for their setting and compare their values against year and region-specific thresholds – directly into IMP ICFP in the correct format from day one, reducing manual steps and giving trusts a more consistent starting point for interpreting sustainability across schools.
By combining IMP’s view of sector reality with recognised ASOT thresholds, trusts gain a clearer, evidence-based understanding of where ICFP performance is strong and where attention may be needed. This partnership strengthens IMP ICFP as a single place to understand curriculum, staffing and financial impact.

Will Jordan, Co-Founder of IMP, said: “Partnering with the expert team at ISBL is an exciting step forward in giving our MAT customers even deeper, clearer insight into how to maximise educational outcomes through robust financial planning and fully integrated ICFP.
“By combining IMP’s sector-wide data with ISBL’s respected ASOT framework, we are enabling trusts to see how their curriculum planning and resource allocation compare not only to the national picture but also to ISBL’s benchmark of what ‘good’ looks like.
“This will shine a light on areas that sit outside expected ranges and empower leaders to take confident, evidence-based action.”

Stephen Morales, Chief Executive of ISBL, added: “This partnership represents the power of collaboration between the practitioners and industry innovators. If the sector is to thrive, particularly during periods of political and economic uncertainty, finding solutions and building ensuring relationships with experts beyond the sector will be crucial.”
Further detail will be shared at the ISBL National Conference, which is taking place on 27th-28th November, and in upcoming IMP ICFP sessions.
